Okay, so it doesn’t take much.

This was taken back in the summer, but I ran by there this morning, which reminded me of this picture.  It was pure luck that we discovered we could trigger it on foot because it doesn’t always work – but once we did…

A runner for just over four years, Karen has already completed a marathon, two half marathons and a variety of 5k and 10k races. She describes her first marathon - the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon last September - as "a nightmare." However, she met a very interesting person in the process - a man named Sydney who was running his 152nd marathon! Although the race didn't go as well as planned for Karen or Sydney, he showed her that no matter how experienced a runner you are, you can still have a bad day. "Does that mean we shouldn't bother to prepare, or maybe just shouldn't bother at all? Of course not!" says Karen. "In the end, it is what we make it." We like her optimism!

    1. That’s very impressive…considering that what the sign does not convey is that the radar is set up to detect “warp speed” you go girl !!!
      : )

    2. JustJayde: well I must confess that the “photo shoot” became a bit of a speed work session – it is harder than you’d think to trigger the sign at the right time to snap the picture, all in between cars! I have a lot of pictures of a blank sign, and a few of it reading in the 60s (and one with a 13, but it is too small to zoom in on enough for a blog-sized picture)!

      EZL2000 – LOL! Thanks – yeah that’s me, Warp 11!
